In 1966 a champion was born. Extra ordinary athlete, Samer Kamal fell in love with Taekwondo in 1980. After hours of practice, hard work, dedication and high spirits, Samer became a national champion in 1982.

 

He was a national champion and representing his country internationally for 8 years!

 

Medals started becoming the reward for his dedication. In Asia, 1986, Samer won a silver medal. A dream was coming true for Samer, as he participated in Seoul's Olympic Games in 1988 and won the bronze medal coming in third place. This was a true accomplishment, as he was the first Jordanian to win an Olympic medal.

 

Other medals won were the Gold medal in 1988 Luxembourg Open International Championship.

Samer has gotten his 9th Dan Black Belt in the year 2022 from the KUKKIWON. and in the year 2017 he received his 9th Dan from the Chung Do Kwan. And lately received his 9th Dan from the JidoKwan.

 

In the year 1990 Samer opened Champions Taekwondo Center, his first Taekwondo school in Jordan.

 

The year 2011 was the year marked the opening of Champions Martial Arts Taekwondo Center in Mississauga, Canada. 

​

A year after, a 3rd branch was announced open also in Oakville, Canada. Then in the year 2021 the 4th branch was opened in Stoney Creek, Canada.

 

With all his experiences, discipline, leadership and practice, today Samer has help developed Taekwondo and martial arts in the world and has promoted more than 3500 black belt students worldwide.
